[Movies] Mark Millar Discusses New Superhero Movie
Posted by Larry Csonka on 02.09.2010

Back in November, Mark Millar (Wanted, Kick-Ass) announced that he would shoot a film of his own. The film, which will be an independently filmed superhero movie, finally has some more details. Millar has stated that the film will have a completely original concept, and be set in Scotland and feature a Scottish superhero. Off camera, Millar stated that the film would below budget, and feature a cast of unknowns in their 20's.

Worst idea for a movie, ever?

Everything Mark Millar ever says is an "original concept" just ends up being the same goddamn thing he's been doing for the past 10 years: revolving an ultra-violent, snarky, substanceless story around irritating potshots at superheroes.

I can't take anything Millar says seriously anymore. He is, and always has been, hopelessly in love with the sound of his own voice. He's his own hype machine and president of his own fan club. Sometimes I think if he ever stopped talking, he'd die.
